Beautiful country house hotel located on the edge of North London
Responsibilities
- Ability to run kitchen sections services in absence of kitchen management, as and when required.
- Prepare, cook, and serve all items on the menu to a high standard.
- Preparing food as per seasonal demand
- Assist in the prep & cooking of all other food required.
- Following the recipes and presentation specifications whilst preparing food and keeping up to date with any change
- Mise en place for the following day
Working 45 hours per week over 5 days including weekends and bank holiday
Candidate Specification
- Must have good culinary skills and experience of working as a Chef De Partie in previous role, preferably in a quality restaurant/culinary environment. (would consider an experienced Demi Chef with appropriate skills)
- Must be well organised, reliable, punctual, and precise with a keen eye for detail & creative.
- Possess food safety training, relevant culinary qualifications, and high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to deal with deliveries and stock carrying/rotation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and being a good team player is essential.
- Must have an under of food costs and manage food costs to budgeted levels.
- Efficiently manage relationships with food, drink, and equipment suppliers.
- Able to work under pressure and use own initiative.
